Smart Install Tech
 

  • SUMMARY AND BASIC JOB FUNCTION:
    Required to install and configure smart devices, with the highest quality of standard and professionalism.

 

 

PRINCIPAL ACTIVITIES, DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Configure Customer equipment accordingly as initiated by an install or activation process for a Smart Home.

  • Configure all Hub configurations to enable services as requested via the install and activation processes.

  • Design and Document Smart Home.

  • Presale Design and demo to customers of Smart Home Functionality.

  • Document and train users on Smart Home Functionality and associated solutions.

  • Research and Test equipment that may be used at a Smart Home.

  • Test methodologies and techniques which may become additional service offerings.

  • Perform Audits Bi-annually to ensure secure networks.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve customer issues if called upon.

  • Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned by the Manager or Director

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Essential:     

  • Post-Secondary Tertiary Education (Certificate/Diploma) in Networking, Telecommunications, IT or equivalent

  • Technical knowledge (including development, maintenance and troubleshooting) of Z Wave Technology and Internet Technologies.

  • Working knowledge of - MS Word, Excel, Access, Power Point.

  • Good working knowledge of routers.

  • Excellent verbal and written communications and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced Knowledge of PC including PC hardware skills – hardware, installations, troubleshooting, conflicts, etc.

  • Technical knowledge (including development, maintenance and troubleshooting) of Electrical Wiring.


Desirable:-

  • Minimum 1 years working with Electrical or Computing technologies.

  • Typically one or more years of experience in Z Wave theory and design

  • EEET certification will be considered an asset.

  • Ability to function in a fast paced environment.

  • Punctual, regular and consistence attendance.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills

  • Ability to provide advanced technical assistance and comprehensive problem resolution

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
